6-7 Year Old Rules
  1. Games are limited to 6 innings or a time limit of one hour and 30 minutes.  No new inning can begin after 80 minutes.
  1. A complete inning consists of 10 batters or 5 runs or 3 outs including the last inning.  The complete roster hits in the batting order.  The mercy rule is not in effect.
  1. Batters will swing from the tee until the ball is hit into fair territory.  Walks are not permitted.
  1. The batter and base runners will wear batting helmets at all times.  If a player voluntary removes his helmet, the player will be warned to leave helmet on at all while times on the field.  Catcher must wear facemask at all times. 
  1. Batter will get 1 warning for throwing bat.  Batter will be called out for throwing bat a second time in the same game.  Umpire shall declare ball dead.
  1. Swearing, foul language, derogatory or inflammatory statements by Managers, Coaches, players or parents is grounds for immediate ejection and suspension.
  1. Two Adult base coaches are allowed on offense.  3 Adult coaches are allowed in the outfield on defense.  1 Adult Bench coach is required. (There must be at least one adult in the dug out at all times)
  1. Runner may only advance one base on an over throw per base runner.
  1. Sliding is permitted.  Intentional sliding headfirst will be called out.  Diving back to return to the base is allowed.  Stealing bases is not permitted.
  1. Defense consists of a pitcher, catcher, 4 infielders and the balance of the players play behind the outfield arc.  NO PLAYER CAN PLAY IN THE INFIELD MORE THAN 3 INNINGS OF ANY ONE GAME.  (Exception – if a team is short players, players MUST then rotate with no single player playing in the infield the entire game.).  For purposes of T-Ball 6/7, the pitcher and catcher are considered infielders.
  1. Play shall end when an infielder has possession of the ball in the infield.  There shall be a halfway line in the base path.  If the runner has not reached the halfway line prior to the end of play, runner shall return to the previous base.  If 2 runners are between the same base, the lead runner determines which bases are awarded
  1. An arched line shall be placed 6 feet in front of home plate when the tee is being used but not when the coach is pitching.  The batted ball must cross the arched line in fair territory, or the ball will be declared a foul ball.  
  1. Coaches may start pitching after 4/20.  A batter will receive 3 pitches if no contact is made then the tee will be used.  Walks and strike outs are not permitted.
  1. No sugar drinks or food (gum, candy or seeds) are allowed in the dugouts or on the field.  Water and sport drinks such as Gatorade is permitted.
  1. Coaches will umpire their own games.
  1. Rainouts will try to be made up, space and time allowing.  Makeup games may be on Sunday
  2. Option – Manager may have a helmet on the player in the pitcher position.
